John and Christine moved to Josephine County in 2006 to raise alpacas. Their vision is to integrate these beautiful small livestock into the production of food, fiber and medicine, while protecting the soil, water and pollinators. Siskiyou Alpaca is one of the first farms in the USA to bring alpaca meat products to a local market. After 20 years, they closed the farm in 2020, and now continue to offer alpaca yarns to the community. They love pollinator perennial plants that produce medicine for people and food for pollinators.
